The Phoenix Suns getting eliminated from the playoffs was a huge surprise for the NBA community. They were viewed as the favorites to not only win the Western Conference but also the NBA Finals.
Speaking of their Game 6 loss vs. the Denver Nuggets, they were down by 30 points at halftime. Dallas Mavericks’ Reggie Bullock had a hilarious reaction to seeing the Suns struggle so badly.
“Hey, look, you know how hyped I am,” Bullock said. “Hey man, I heard they’re smoking all them at Phoenix. That’s what they said.”

When the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns locked horns in the 2022 Western Conference Semifinals, the players from each side seemingly became rivals for life. The series ended 4-3 in favor of the Mavericks.
As a result, it’s only understandable that Bullock loved seeing the downfall of the Suns, albeit the Dallas Mavericks missing the playoffs altogether. So in a way, the Mavericks had an ever more disappointing season.
What’s Next For The Phoenix Suns?
The Phoenix Suns gave up a lot of assets to acquire Kevin Durant in the middle of the 2022-23 NBA season. Evidently, it killed the depth of the Suns, and they paid a huge price for it in the postseason.
Keeping that in mind, the Suns will be in search of adding quality role players to the roster this summer. Apart from that, they will have to make a decision about their aging point guard, Chris Paul.
CP3 is currently 38 years old and is finally showing signs of regression. Paul would want to run it back as it will help him in providing a chance of ending his 18-year championship drought. But the Suns may trade him for a younger point guard.
The only positive for the Suns is the fact that Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have built great chemistry in the few games that they played together in the regular season and the playoffs.
