Conor McGregor was one of the celebrities in attendance for Game 4 at the Kayesa Center in Miami. The Nuggets took a 3-1 series lead in that game as McGregor was involved in entertaining fans with a mock fight that led to the Heat mascot being hospitalized due to real punches from Conor.

McGregor was accused of raping a woman at the game and the Miami Heat have addressed the situation with a statement.

“We are aware of the allegations and are conducting a full investigation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, we will withhold further comment.”

The alleged incident was made public by attorney Ariel Mitchell, who claims that Heat security led the victim to the men’s bathroom where Conor and his security guard were already waiting. Inside the bathroom, McGregor forced himself upon the victim and allegedly forced her to perform oral sex before trying to sodomize her, though she escaped. She reported the crime to the authorities on Sunday, who then encouraged her to get an attorney.

McGregor has a troubling pattern with women. He is currently facing sexual assault charges in Dublin, Ireland. He was also arrested in Corsica, a Meditteranean island, for sexual assault.

What Are The Next Steps For The NBA?

If McGregor is proven to be at fault here, he’ll likely be banned from the Heat arena and possibly even other NBA arenas. The gravity of a crime like this should not be underestimated, so it’ll be best for the Heat and the local authorities to fully investigate this situation. If the Heat security guards also played the role they have been alleged to, the league should come down hard on the Heat for this.

McGregor is a fighter who is past his prime and coasting off the laurels he earned in his short career with the UFC. If Conor is guilty, it is about time he faces some severe punishment given the number of legal skirmishes he has had over the years with no consequence.
