The Miami Heat was listed as one of the teams that looked as Kyrie Irving’s landing spots after he asked for a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. But the franchise does have one major concern.

This doesn’t really come as a surprise, given that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks, also interested parties, had some of their own worries about Irving. If it was his hefty asking price that had the Lakers flinch, the Mavericks were more concerned about his locker room fit with Luka Doncic.

Now, the Heat have one worry and that’s dealing with the guard on a daily basis. Per NBA writer and radio host Ethan J. Skolnik, the Heat’s higher authorities had one worrying factor.

“I continue to hear there’s a lot of discomfort at high levels of the Heat organization about the prospect of dealing with Kyrie Irving every day.” – @EthanJSkolnick

Irving is one of the more polarizing characters in the NBA, and it’s been a roller-coaster season for him so far. While he does remain on top of his game averaging 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists, his off-court drama is something franchises are wary of and will consider before they consider making a move for him.

The Phoenix Suns Are Interested In Kyrie Irving

The Phoenix Suns emerged as one of the interested parties in landing Irving. Recently, Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes reported that the Suns are a suitor for the guard.

They are one of the teams who have the players who could still keep the Nets as bonafide contenders. Chances are that the side may trade some key pieces such as Cam Johnson, and even include a seasoned veteran like Chris Paul.

Phoenix is viewed as one of the few teams capable of facilitating a deal with Brooklyn that could keep both teams in championship pursuit.

The Heat will have its own framework in place if they decide to go ahead with its idea of signing Irving, but at this stage, they do have a quick decision to make considering the trade deadline ends less than a week from today.

Only time will tell if Irving will take the hardwood alongside Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler.
