Michael Malone had a blast at the Denver Nuggets’ championship parade, as they celebrated being crowned NBA Champions for the first time in franchise history.

The head coach seemed a little inebriated during the celebration and reiterated something he said minutes after the Nuggets won Game 5 of the Finals, claiming the team is going to come right back to win the title next season.

“I’ve got a crazy idea man. I am a little crazy and a little emotional, but let’s do this shit again. Let’s do this again. I want to be on another float, I want to come down the f***ing parade, sorry for my language. Excuse me. I want to experience this again because this city, this franchise, these fans, they deserve that. So, let’s go Nuggets, I love you guys, and let’s go celebrate.”

Malone completed his journey from a long-time assistant coach to failing at his first head coaching appointment with the Sacramento Kings to finding a team that appreciates and respects him in the Nuggets. They stuck by him and he finally delivered a title to them in his eighth year as head coach.

Denver Coming Back To Win It All?

The Nuggets are definitely placed to be a title contender every season for the next few years. Their core is in their mid-20s and they have veterans that they can either keep and get more value from or look at the market for minor upgrades. They also recently traded for two second-round picks and a weak 2024 first-round pick from the Thunder, so they’re keeping as many assets as they can.

Nikola Jokic is in his prime and widely recognized as the best player in the NBA right now. With Malone’s coaching and their terrific supporting cast, injuries might be the only thing that can stop them.
