LeBron James’ longevity is unlike anything that NBA fans have ever seen. Even in his 20th NBA season, LeBron is still one of the top players in the league.

But even the King is slowly but surely regressing. A recent example of it was when it was unveiled that for the first time in his career, James received 0 MVP votes.

“LeBron James did not receive a vote for NBA MVP this season. This is the first time in his NBA career he didn’t get a single vote for MVP.”

NBA fans on Twitter were quick to react to the news. Fans had mixed reactions to it as some had no issues with it while others were shocked.

A fan was satisfied after seeing LeBron James receive no MVP votes this season.

Another fan brought Michael Jordan into the conversation.

A fan thinks LeBron is eyeing a bigger prize.

A fan was shocked about the King getting MVP votes over the last few seasons.

Another fan simply pointed out how amazing it is for a player to receive MVP votes for 19 years.

LeBron James is at that point in his career when he couldn’t care less about winning the MVP award.

He has nothing left to prove to anyone right now. Moreover, when our writer, Kyle Daubs, wrote a detailed article on LeBron James’ MVP points per season, he reached the conclusion that James deserved to win more than four MVPs.

Did Voter Fatigue Play A Role In LeBron James Winning Only Four MVP Awards In His Career?

Being the best player in the league for almost two decades is not a small deal. In a way, LeBron James’ greatness has become an obstacle to winning more accolades.

The Athletic’s Tony Jones talked about how voter fatigue played a role in James not winning more than four MVPs in his career. Jones believes LeBron should have had at least eight MVPs by now.

“I agree voter fatigue shouldn’t occur, but it for sure does,” Jones said. “There’s no way on God’s Green Earth that LeBron James should have only four MVP awards. He should have at least eight.”

Considering LeBron James is already 38 years old and is finally showing some signs of slowing down, he may never win an MVP award again in his career.

But would it really matter if LeBron can add a couple of more rings to his resume? James would certainly take those championships over MVP awards any day of the well.
