NBA Fans Debate If They Would Trade 34-Year-Old Stephen Curry For 23-Year-Old Luka Doncic: “Yes, Steph Needed Draymond And Klay To Even Make The Playoffs”

Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic are both transcendental basketball players, both in different ways. The two faced off in the Western Conference Finals last season, but the Warriors were better than the Mavericks as a whole, and easily beat them on their path to winning the championship. As such, there were a few debates about who the better player is between Curry and Doncic.

It’s hard to compare the two. Doncic is more of a one-man system on offense, while Curry is the greatest shooter ever and does a lot of off-ball work. They are also at very different points in their career, Luka just completed his 4th NBA season at 23, and Curry his 13th at the age of 34. Fan opinion is split on who the better individual player is right now, but recently, another question regarding them sparked some debate.

NBA fans were asked if they would trade Curry at this age for Luka at 23, leading to some interesting answers.

“Yes, Steph needed Draymond and Klay to even make the playoffs.”

“Absolutely not.”

“Curry has like 3 years tops left at his prime, Luka has at least 15 years.”

“I wouldn’t even trade the whole team for Curry.”

“If Steph was luka’s ages rn no I would not but because of how much of an age gap there is yes.”

“Everyone saying no is dumb af and thinks with their feelings.”

“And have dub nation mad at you. Absolutely not!”

“I wouldn’t trade Steph for may player in NBA as at now..he is the best dude out there.”

“That’s a hard pick.”

“You’d do this trade with your eyes closed.”

“Yes Luka younger and always almost as good as him.”

“You’re dumb if you say no.”

What Curry means to the Warriors is not measurable, so, understandably, Dubs fans wouldn’t trade him for anyone. However, Doncic is on an unbelievable trajectory at his age. He has already made 3 All-NBA First Teams in his first 4 seasons. Curry might be the greatest shooter of all time and if he were younger, it might be different, but it is almost a no-brainer to acquire 23-year-old Luka if you can.
