Lakers fans were panicking NBA superstar Anthony Davis left the game in a wheelchair on Wednesday, but on the set of ‘Inside the NBA’ after the final buzzer, they couldn’t stop themselves from hysterically laughing.

While we don’t know for sure what it was that got the guys going, fans came to an agreement that it must have involved Anthony Davis and the reports of him leaving the game in a wheelchair after suffering a head injury. Shaq and Barkley have a history of making jokes about situations they deem to be over-reactionary/soft, but this time the fans really let them know that they didn’t appreciate the reaction.

Unfortunately, this is something we’ve come to expect from the TNT crew, and many fans have quit watching them all together for a moment like this, where they can come across as disrespectful and insensitive toward the players.

Davis seems to have avoided a concussion, which means he’ll probably be available for Game 6, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Hopefully, he’ll be able to play freely and without limitations so the Lakers can pull out a win on their home floor.

Is Anthony Davis The Best Defensive Player Of The Playoffs?

So far, AD has really made his presence known on both ends of the floor, but it’s really on defense where he’s made the biggest impact. Locking down the paint and holding his own against Stephen Curry, he’s been truly brilliant on that end, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“He’s the best defensive player in the league. I think the league knows it as well,” said James on his co-star. “There are not many guys that can protect the rim at all costs and also switch out on point guards, switch out on guys like Steph, Step is a hell of a player and had a hell of game, I think he even had a triple-double. But we trust AD guarding anybody in this league and he showed that.”

There is no doubt that the Lakers will need Davis at full strength if they want to win the title, but the signs are looking good for his return, and the stage is set for them to re-take their place as the kings of the West.

As for Charles Barkley and Shaq, they may come to regret their laughter if Davis balls out and puts on a monster showing from here on out.
