Ja Morant is making the rounds around the NBA today and not for the best reasons. The Memphis Grizzlies’ superstar has been involved in controversies this season, and things could get more serious now.
According to a recent report, Morant has been accused of beating up and pointing a gun at a 17-year-old teen.
“The teenager told detectives from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that, after the fight, Morant went into his house and re-emerged with a gun visible in the waistband of his pants and his hand on the weapon, according to police interviews obtained by The Post, which have not previously been reported.”
This is something huge for Ja, who has been involved in these types of incidents recently. People close to him were recently accused of pointing guns at Indiana Pacers staffers following a game, so these situations keep finding Ja, or he keeps looking for them.
The former No. 2 overall pick has a big talent to make big things in the NBA, but if he keeps acting this way and letting his people do whatever they want, things will end up badly for him.
NBA Fans Blast Ja Morant For Being Involved In Off-Court Issues Again
Following this report, NBA fans reacted to it, blasting Morant and calling him out for putting his career in jeopardy simply because he wants to act tough and be something he never was.
One fan instantly pointed out that Morant could easily lose his career because of this.
Hope this isn’t true. Worst way to submarine such a promising career

Others criticized him for his attitude of being a tough guy when he didn’t even grow up in the zones where those behaviors were normal.

Some fans defended him, saying that nobody should say something until this incident is proven or denied by authorities.
Wheres the context? I mean the 17 y/o was at ja’s house who knows what his reason of being there was

This is 💯 extortion. The kid hit Ja twice, Ja fought back, and the lawsuits that keep coming after him by the kids mom are immediately thrown out. The police have even dropped the charges

he is "accused" of doing this-do we have proof he did it? should we run with a story like this without absolute proof? questions to ask anyone reporting this as an actual event that happened

Either way, this isn’t the first time that Ja stars in these incidents, and the Grizzlies and the NBA need to take action on this before it’s too late for the talented point guard.
