Ja Morant’s situation has finally seen some clarity after the latest reports about how his season will proceed. After fears that he could miss the rest of the season, his suspension will see him miss just 3 more games.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been able to win without Ja Morant, but fans will be glad to see him back nonetheless. And they had some interesting reactions to the news of his suspension.

“The NBA is suspending Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for eight games without pay for conduct detrimental to the league, sources tell ESPN,” Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted.

Fans can be a bit ruthless at the best of times, and this was no different. Ja Morant got trolled right off the bat by a fan who said, “The league really about to bully Ja into posting like this again.”

One fan summarized the entire situation by simply explaining everything that had happened: “Ja Morant screwed up. Do the time, show understanding, and change your ways!”

There are a lot of narratives to pay attention to this season, and people are tired of hearing about Ja Morant. One fan made that clear by tweeting, “Okay so is this the last of the punishment cuz y’all are really dragging it at this point.”

The NBA is a business at the end of the day, and this fan had a cynical take on the situation: “Good slap on the wrist so NBA can collect playoff revenue.”

Ultimately, the only thing that matters is that Ja Morant stops getting himself into trouble, and this fan explained everything that needed to be said: “I don’t know if this is or isn’t right – I just know that Adam Silver definitely was going to be soft here and in the least surprising fashion, he was. As for Ja – genuinely hope he gets right. By all accounts he’s taking the steps, hopefully they matter.”

The Timeline Of The Ja Morant Saga

Now that the whole ordeal seems to be at an end, it’s interesting to look at how things have unfolded. It all began when Ja Morant was spotted with a gun on Instagram while appearing to be in a strip club.

This led to wild speculation about how long he might be out for the Grizzlies. He took some time away from the team, made a public apology, and got checked into counseling in Florida. He met Adam Silver in New York on Wednesday and could now be back in action as soon as next week. The hope is that he has learned something from the whole situation.
