Ben Simmons’ debut with the Brooklyn Nets has finally a date. The Australian point guard has spent nearly a year without playing basketball and he will return to the court in a couple of days.
After the Nets suffered another loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, the Nets received big news, as Simmons will be making his debut in Game 4 of this entertaining series.
He landed in Brooklyn in March after the Nets sent James Harden to Philadelphia and the Sixers sent Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond to Barclays Center. Many people thought Ben would miss the entire 2021/22 NBA season, but Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the playmaker is set to make his debut on Monday.

He still needs to clear some things up before being able to take the court again, but things are looking promising for the former No. 1 overall draft pick. The Nets could definitely use Simmons’ playmaking abilities and defense against the Celtics and this news couldn’t come in a better time.
It remains to be seen if he returns when it’s too late for his squad, but as thing stands right now, we will see Ben Simmons in action this season.
