Ja Morant is a very talented and confident young player. The Memphis Grizzlies star has made a big impact on the league with his exciting plays and big personality. He landed in the association ready to become a star, and so far, he hasn’t disappointed.

Although not many people like the way Ja manages himself on the court, he won’t change his attitude toward anybody. The player is really confident in his talents and believes in his teammates, which is a deadly combination against the rest of the association.

Recently, he made a bold claim when he said no team in the West would be a problem for his Grizzlies, naming the Boston Celtics the squad the Grizz would have to beat to win the NBA championship.

Ja Morant Is Not Even Scared Of The Phoenix Suns In The Western Conference

While some agreed with that, others didn’t hesitate to call out Morant. The player once again was questioned about it and doubled down on his initial comments. Not even the Phoenix Suns can scare Ja right now.

Ja Morant was asked about his “I’m fine in the west” comments at shootaround.

Ja: “And I’m standing on that. I stamp it,” he said.

Reporter: What about the Suns?

Ja: “They are in the Western Conference, right? I said I was fine in the Western Conference.”

While some may think he’s been cocky, that’s just him showing confidence. The Grizzlies were stopped last season by the eventual NBA champions, and they gave them the hardest battles of the entire playoffs. The Grizzlies have a great group of players, a terrific coach, and a leader that isn’t shy to express his opinion on anything as long as he inspires his teammates.

This team is young and has good pieces that can lead it to win a couple of championships in the coming years. This season, they have a good chance at the title, but if not, the Grizzlies will be back.
