Jalen Rose made a big claim about NBA legends that he thinks would do incredibly great in today’s league. This is always a constant source of debate around the competition, but for Rose, the answer is pretty clear.

The former player-turned-analyst grew up watching legends doing their thing on the court and he knows how much easier it would be for them to dominate in the NBA right now. Many fans would disagree with that, but there’s nothing they can do to change Jalen’s mind.

During a recent edition of Outside the Lines, the former player explained how great some of the best players the NBA has seen would be today. Starting with Michael Jordan, Rose thinks they would have an easy path if they were part of the league right now.

Jalen Rose Makes Big Claims About NBA Legends Playing In Today’s League

The former Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors went on a lengthy explanation as to why he thinks some of these players would have a field day if they played today. Seeing the dominance of some players right now, Rose made this statement:

"Their numbers would be on steroids."

“Look at today’s game,” Rose said. “You see a dominant big like ‘The Joker’ for (the) Denver (Nuggets) or Joel Embiid or Giannis (Antetokounmpo). Imagine if a player like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who’s multi-skilled, who still has the scoring record that LeBron James is about to eclipse, played in this era.

“Or Wilt Chamberlain, who has 50 points, 25 boards when he did play. Or a guy like Hakeem Olajuwon … and then a physical dominance of a player like Shaq (O’Neal). You do a small switch with a 6-5, 6-6 guy that weighs 210 pounds on Shaq, he’s gonna punish him.”

“Guys like Allen Iverson, when games were low 100s being scored was averaging 30 points then … These all-time great scorers like a Kobe Bryant, or like a Michael Jordan, their numbers would be on steroids if they played in today’s era.”

This might be a bold statement for many, but Rose has a solid point there. Seeing how easier the competition is right now, it’s not hard to see why he thinks that way. On that note, George Karl also claimed that Michael Jordan would average a triple-double if he played today.

Just like Rose, so many other players think that way, including Shaquille O’Neal. It’s really sad that we don’t get to see all these legends sharing the court today, but we’ll always have the memories they left behind and their incredible performances.
