Jayson Tatum is one of the best forwards in the league, and many have started to consider him a true superstar. Many love to watch him play, as Tatum is a true three-level scorer and an amazing shot creator.
Many people have compared Jayson Tatum to Kobe Bryant in the past, and there’s no doubt that their play styles are similar. Jayson Tatum even admitted that he once wanted to play for the Lakers because of Kobe Bryant:
“My favorite player and my idol was Kobe and everybody knows that. So, I didn’t like the Celtics at all going up there. I only grew up, I was like, I’m gonna play for the Lakers. Honestly, I never knew what Boston was at. Like I knew only East Coast. But, I’d never been there, I never thought about going there. So, when I got drafted, it was kind of crazy. Like, I used to hate Celtics, and now, it worked out. Everything happen for a reason and I’m surely thankful to be here with this opportunity.”
During Game 7 against the Miami Heat, it seems as though Jayson Tatum decided to honor his idol. He was spotted wearing a purple “24” Kobe Bryant armband, and perhaps we’ll see him carry the Boston Celtics to a playoff win just like Kobe Bryant used to.

There is still a good portion of the game left to play, and perhaps the Miami Heat could still win it. However, the Boston Celtics have been commanding throughout the game, and they are up currently. That is due to Jayson Tatum’s all-around play. He even admitted that his playmaking improvement is what made him an All-NBA first team member this year.
The Boston Celtics could potentially win it all this year, and if they win Game 7 against the Miami Heat, then they will move on to the Finals. Perhaps we’ll see that become a reality at the end of Game 7.
