LeBron James has been the most durable superstar in NBA history. James is playing in his 19th season and is still a superstar and one of the best players in the entire league. While James and his team are struggling to get a win, it is not for a lack of trying on LeBron’s end. And last night, James made a little more history to add to his legacy in the NBA.
LeBron James surpassed 10,000 assists across his career last night during the Lakers’ visit to Phoenix. Crossing this milestone would be big enough by itself, but by doing so, James became the only player in NBA history to have 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists. It was a truly historic achievement for James, who continued to cement his legacy as one of the greatest basketball players ever.

James’ achievement was slightly dampened by the Lakers losing once again. The Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA right now, and no one really expected the Lakers, in their current form, to be able to beat them. But given how crucial it is for them to win games right now, it was yet another setback for the purple and gold in their quest to secure a playoff spot.
Fans were once again disappointed by the way the Lakers played, as has become the trend. The Lakers are slipping further and further, and with each loss they pick up, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to secure a playoff spot.
What was once considered a championship favorite has quickly become one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA in recent memory, given the wealth of talent they have available to them. The Lakers will need to start putting a run together soon. But given their upcoming schedule and the teams they are yet to play, it will be an uphill battle, the likes of which even LeBron has not seen before.
