LeBron James Sends A Message To The Doubters: “Keep That Same Narrative Energy When It Begins!”

The Los Angeles Lakers have had a pretty eventful offseason so far. Over the past couple of days alone, the team went out and traded for Russell Westbrook and signed many other players on minimum deals, including Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, and Kent Bazemore.

Despite all the moves, however, not all fans are convinced these new-look Lakers are primed to win a Championship. With most of the roster being over 32 years old, we’ve never really seen this type of team before.

Nevertheless, LeBron James delivered a special message to the doubters on Twitter, calling on them to “keep the same energy” once the season begins.

Keep talking about my squad, our personnel ages, the way they play, we’re past our time in this league, etc etc etc!! Do me one favor PLEASE!!!! And I mean PLEASE!!!! Keep that same narrative energy what it begins. That’s all I ask.#ThankYou

The Tweet has since been deleted, but not before it caught the eye of the NBA community.

In the hours following these moves by the Lakers, fans have continued to argue on where their ceiling lies as a team.

On one hand, some are inclined to call the Lakers a “superteam” considering all the talent they have on the roster. On paper, it’s quite literally one of the most stacked rosters we’ve ever seen.

But if you put things into context, factoring in age, fit, and durability, it raises a number of questions and concerns. Do they have enough quality shooters? Can the team stay healthy throughout a long season? Can they stay competitive against younger, more athletic teams in the West?

Much remains to be seen, but Bron isn’t about to let the “doubters” off the hook. He’s making folks chose their sides now.

And if he can deliver on bringing another title to L.A., he will be the guy to shut them all up.
