The Los Angeles Lakers are all set for the 2022-23 NBA season. They have added a bunch of young players to the bench and have added Patrick Beverley to the roster to improve their defense.
The only thing that has been left for them to take care of is the Russell Westbrook situation. It’s no secret that the franchise wants to trade away Russ after his poor performance in the 2021-22 NBA season.
But they haven’t found any success in doing that so far this season. If anything, with each passing day, it’s becoming clear that Brodie will start next season as a player of the Purple and Gold.
So the best outcome for both Russ and the Lakers would be if he could fix the biggest flaws and help the Lakers in making a glorious comeback. Otherwise, there are still five teams who might trade for the former NBA MVP.
Russell Westbrook Is Working On His Three-Point Shot
During the prime of his career, Westbrook never really developed a good jump shot because he relied on his nuclear athleticism to take care of things.
But as he gets older, his efficiency has reduced due to the fact that he’s not that athletic anymore. As a result, Brodie needs to improve his shooting. In a recent video, Russ was seen practicing his three-point shot, and his form looked fluid.
Russell Westbrook’s jumper is looking clean. 🔥

Brody’s career has been too good to completely write him off after one subpar season playing a role that he’s not accustomed to. He deserves the chance to see if they can make it work. Maybe, and I’m a huge Lebron fan, all of the stars need to change their game some.

Nobody is in his face So should be able to hit shots and game isn’t on the line We will see if all those 🤡🤡🤡 in the lad with pay off or we will have a curious in town

The more muscle he got over the years the worse his shot has gotten. He should try to slim down like LeBron and Melo back in 2014

I think Russ’s shooting problems stem from constantly altering it. Sometimes it’s a push shot, sometimes it’s a clean follow thru. But if you notice it almost never looks the same. Not totally in common from a base stand point but he almost completely alters his form too

While it’s good to see Westbrook knock down these uncontested jumpers, things are different during the heat of the game.
If he cannot make his shots count during the actual game, then it’s no good whether he makes 100 or even 1000 three-pointers in the gym. Hopefully, he can carry this new cleaner form to the regular season.
