Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having a terrific 2023-22 NBA season. The Oklahoma City Thunder young star keeps improving his level, becoming one of the biggest stories in the association this campaign.

The former Los Angeles Clippers point guard is having a sweet moment with the young Thunder team, leading them to compete in the stacked Western Conference, signing his name on the list of the top young talents in the association.

With the Thunder being four games away from the 4th spot in the West, which currently belongs to the Clippers, many fans thought that Shai was deserving of an All-Star Game starting spot, but the 24-year-old was snubbed

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Isn’t Worried After Not Being Named An All-Star Starter

Just like Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown, Shai was ‘snubbed’ from the All-Star Starters list, which didn’t sit well among his loved ones. Talking about this situation, the talented point guard explained that those who love and appreciate him felt a little bad about this, but he’s not losing sleep over that situation.

“Obviously my friends, family and social media brought it to my attention. I’m not too focused on it. I’m not mad that I’m not starting or anything like that,” Shai said, via Sports Brief.

This kid has been proving doubters wrong since he started his NBA career, and he knows what he brings to the table. Of course, he’s trying to take the Oklahoma City Thunder to the postseason, and they have a real chance this year. However, they will need more than just SGA to reach their goals, and the player is confident they can get the job done.

In 45 games played this season, Shai is averaging 30.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists, taking the Thunder to post a 24-25 record, something unthinkable before the start of this season. Shai knows he has a big responsibility, and he’s not going away from it. The Thunder have a star in the Canadian guard, and it won’t be long before we see him doing his thing in the All-Star Game.
