Luka Doncic once again impressed fans all around the globe with his amazing performance against the Golden State Warriors in the third game of the Western Conference Finals.

Doncic finished the game with 40 points to his name and was a problem for the Dubs throughout the fixture. Unfortunately, Doncic’s amazing effort came in a losing cause as the game finished at 109-100 in favor of the Warriors.

The defeat has further reduced Luka and co.’s chances of advancing to the NBA Finals as they are now down 3-0 in the series. Although there is technically still a chance for the Mavs to qualify, it is unlikely that the Warriors will let this lead slip away.

Anyway, coming back to Game 3, Luka’s amazing scoring was a thing of beauty, there are no two ways to look at it. But at the same time, the 23-year-old failed to impress people with his defense.

While Luka’s strongest skill is his attack, he still needs to be a better two-way player in order to possibly win a few championships in his career. Upon seeing Doncic’s lackluster defensive performance, NBA analyst Skip Bayless trolled the Mavs superstar on Twitter:

“Luka Oncic. No D.”

Bayless’ wordplay was a clear shot at Doncic’s poor defense in Game 3. For a change, Bayless actually made a good point as he is known for his rather unique takes and being on the receiving end of a lot of hate from NBA fans.

Jokes aside, the Mavericks are in a tough situation right now. They cannot afford to make any mistakes in Game 4 of the series. Moreover, the role players need to support their superstar as well.

After all, there is only so much a single player can do. The absence of good performances from his teammates was clearly visible in Game 3. Hopefully, the Mavs can at least win a game in the series to avoid a sweep.
