Stephen A. Smith Responds To Kwame Brown: “Compared To Other Seven Footers Who Have Played In The NBA, You Weren’t Very Good.”

2 Min Read

Kwame Brown is widely viewed as one of the biggest busts in NBA history. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft. During his long career, he played on a variety of teams, as well as being teammates with greats like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Alas, he did not reach the heights he was projected to reach.

In more recent memory, Kwame Brown has become prominent for his rants on social media that target big figures in the basketball world. One of those figures was Stephen A. Smith, who is an ESPN basketball analyst. Smith has recently responded to Kwame Brown through a video and highlighted why Brown got the criticism the way he did.

Kwame Brown wanted my attention… Look, I don’t have a single negative thing to say about Kwame Brown. Nothing personal… The basketball player. We ain’t talking about you the man… we just said you can’t play, well enough compared to your contemporaries in the NBA… Compared to the other seven footers who have played in the NBA, you weren’t very good.

It seems as though Stephen A. Smith has had enough of the rants about him from Brown, and he offered a fairly thorough explanation of why he said what he said. Hopefully, the beef between the two can end here.
