The Brooklyn Nets are about to take the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Boston Celtics by just half a game after the Celtics lost to the Oklahoma Coty Thunder. Their 12-game win streak has catapulted them up the standings and a lot of credit for the same goes to their head coach.
Jacque Vaugh was hired after the season started due to the firing of Steve Nash. While many believed the Nets were done for with their slow start to the season, Vaughn has managed to motivate the great on-paper roster to finally play up to their ability and start dominating the league.
The players respond very well to Vaughn and it was obvious in this timeout when the coach is drawing up a play.
The Brooklyn Nets are really responding well to Jacque Vaughn 🙏

One of the best moments in this video came from Kevin Durant. Not only did he extend his full support to Vaughn and agreed with everything he said, but he was also selfless enough to defer the play to Kyrie Irving, who drained the shot when it came time. This team hasn’t looked this dangerous since they were put together, and Vaughn deserves massive credit.
Are The Brooklyn Nets The Best Team In The East?
Every team goes through peaks and troughs in a season. The Nets went through a massive dip to start the year but are peaking really high right now. Whether their winning rate is sustainable completely depends on the health of KD and Kyrie but right now, this is a dangerous team to go up against.
A championship run is back on the cards for the KD, Kyrie, Vaughn, and the Nets. Given Irving’s contract status is still unconfirmed for next season, this might be their last year to make something happen.
