NBA Rumors: Golden State Warriors Could Sign DeMarcus Cousins

2 Min Read

The Golden State Warriors didn’t make big moves at the trade deadline and they couldn’t get a big addition in the buyout market but some players could help the team for the rest of the season. It seems like the Dubs could be interested in a known face that could give them a little push in their fight for the playoffs.

DeMarcus Cousins only played one season with the team, in 2019 and he was sidelined for a big chunk of the season, including the postseason, where the Dubs reached the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Well, now the big man is a free agent and he’s getting some attention around the league. The Boston Celtics are reportedly interested in the player but more teams could sign the center in the next couple of days.

The Dubs are looking to make some upgrades on the roster while Stephen Curry is inactive and Boogie could be a very good addition to them. James Wiseman has struggled in his rookie season with the team and even though he was cut by the Houston Rockets, Cousins showed that he could still put interesting numbers on a nightly basis.

This is a very good option for Steve Kerr and co. DeMarcus is a very good player when healthy and if they get that version of him, this team could be ready to have a very good time once they have Curry back on the roster.
