NBA Rumors: Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo And Udonis Haslem Are The Only ‘Untouchables’ On The Miami Heat’s Roster

Against all odds and what people thought, the Miami Heat are coming off a trip to the NBA Finals. Now, they face the challenge of proving their doubters that last season’s success wasn’t a fluke and that they can consistently compete at the highest level.

Needless to say, that most likely means that they’ll have to make a move or two to fix their flaws, which aren’t that many, to begin with. Luckily for them, stars actually want to play for the Heat, as they’ve built a winning culture behind Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra.

So, with that in mind, Miami Heat insider Ira Heat Beat reported that the only three players that aren’t going to be mentioned in trade talks for the Heat in the offseason are Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Udonis Haslem:

It doesn’t strike as a surprise to see Jimmy Butler on that list, as he recently joined them to become their marquee player and embraced a leadership role right away. As for Udonis Haslem, he’s their locker room leader and has spent his entire carer with the organization, so there’s not much of a surprise there either.

Bam Adebayo has earned his stripes with the franchise. He took over Hassan Whiteside’s starting center spot and has quickly become one of the most versatile two-way players in the league, so it’s clear that they value him a lot.

Perhaps what seems to be a bit of a surprise is the fact that Tyler Herro isn’t mentioned in that list, considering he played lights out for them and is one of the most promising players in the league.

Whatever they end up doing, you have to give Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra a lot of credit for putting together this roster and making it to the Finals without tanking. It’s only a matter of time before they land another star and go back to the ultimate stage, so don’t sleep on them.
