NBA Rumors: Kemba Walker Could Be ‘On The Move’ In The Offseason

Kemba Walker was incredibly linked with a move away from the Boston Celtics last offseason and that scenario could be repeated this year. The talented point guard has failed to make a big impact on the team and Danny Ainge has been thought to be interested in dealing Kemba and that could be a reality in the next couple of months.

According to a former NBA executive, the C’s tried hard to get rid of Walker but as we all know now, they couldn’t do it. They could be trying to do the same this year and see what they can get in return for the former Charlotte Hornets player. If Walker goes, this will be the third time in the last four years that the Celtics lose their point guard.

“They tried in the offseason. Had a few offers on the table and almost pulled the trigger. Kemba is very likely to be on the move this coming offseason,” this executive said, via Evan Massey.

A former #NBA exec told @HoopAnalysisNet that he thinks the #Celtics will trade Kemba Walker this offseason.

While Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are expected to be the leaders of the Celtics, Walker landed there to be the perfect complement for the duo. Things haven’t clicked between them and now rumors about Kemba leaving Boston have resurfaced.

It’ll be interesting to see what they can get for the four-time All-Star since the Celtics have earned a bad reputation when it comes to trades. This team is good but they’re always missing something to actually compete in the East. This offseason could be crucial for them and their future in the league.
