NBA Rumors: Celtics Have Offers From Bulls And Bucks For Dennis Schroder

Dennis Schroder has been having a solid season with the Boston Celtics this season. He is currently putting up 14.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG, and 4.4 APG this season, and has started in 25 out of the 47 games he has played.

It seems as though Dennis Schroder’s play has resulted in some trade interest in him. Matt Moore of Action Network has recently revealed that the Boston Celtics currently have two offers for the veteran point guard. The teams interested in Schroder are the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls.

The Boston Celtics’ priority, according to multiple sources, is to clear salary to save on the luxury tax. There are two offers on the table for Dennis Schröder according to multiple sources, one from the Milwaukee Bucks and another from the Chicago Bulls.

This report claimed that the Celtics want to “clear salary to save on the luxury tax” so it makes sense that they’d want to trade Schroder. Schroder also happens to be on a one-year deal, so perhaps trading him and getting something in return is better than just letting his contract expire, and allowing him to hit free agency.

The Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls both have reason to be interested in Dennis Schroder. They are both contending for the 2021-22 NBA championship, and Schroder is a difference-making role player. The Milwaukee Bucks could use a scoring 6th man off the bench, while the Chicago Bulls have had both Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso suffer long-term injuries.

It remains to be seen which team Dennis Schroder goes to. He has also been linked with other teams than the ones listed by Matt Moore, such as the Los Angeles Clippers. Hopefully, he lands in a destination where he can help contribute to winning while thriving on an individual level.
