NBA Rumors: Knicks And Nets “Monitoring” Availability Of Zach LaVine

The Chicago Bulls have yet to return to glory since the retirement of Michael Jeffrey Jordan in 1998. After years of losing, the team is hoping to finally turn things around.

Zach LaVine is projected to be a major player in their turnaround, but (unfortunately) there is speculation that he might want out before any plans can take effect.

And, in a report by SNY’s Ian Begley, the Knicks and Nets have already stepped in line for his services.

At 25-years-old, LaVine is one of the brightest young stars in basketball. This season, he averaged 25.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game on 45% shooting. He can score just about anywhere on the court and despite his injury-riddled past, many believe his ceiling is even higher.

If Chicago continues to lose, it’s plausible that LaVine could request a ticket out. But it remains to be seen if the Nets or Knicks are able to get their hands on him.

The Nets already have two superstars and bringing in LaVine would only increase what it would cost to keep them all together. The Knicks may not even have the assets to acquire such a big-name player.

Either way, LaVine’s future is up in the air and right now, there’s no telling where he’ll land. These next few months will be key in deciding his fate.
