It’s been two days since the 2023 NBA Finals ended, with the Denver Nuggets winning the championship. The Miami Heat once again failed to win a title, but the front office is already working on getting a good deal in the trade market.

The Floridian team is an attractive spot for a lot of players around the league, and Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the team is considered a favorite to land Bradley Beal, who is working on a trade with the Washington Wizards.

“The sources, who were granted anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter, said the Miami Heat are expected to be prominent suitors for Beal if he reaches the market.”

Beal was already linked to the Heat in an April proposed trade, and this suggestion could become a reality soon. The Wizards are taking a new route this year and will start a new rebuilding process ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season.

Several teams are keeping tabs on this team now, trying to see what they can get from a franchise that has tried and tried to compete in the East and was never able to make it past the second round.

Washington Wizards Have Big Decisions To Make This Summer

After rumors suggested they would keep building around Beal, Kyle Kuzma, and Kristaps Porzingis, things have changed a lot. These three only played in 35 games together, posting a bad 16-19 record. The Wizards need to start from scratch again and see what they can do moving forward.

Beal won’t miss suitors for his services, but the team will have more questions to answer this offseason. They are making big changes ahead of a new campaign, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Wizards plan to turn this situation around. After signing a five-year, $251 million extension, Beal is finishing his tenure in Washington.
