Agent Todd Ramasar Reveals Raptors Told Him Pascal Siakam Wouldn’t Be Traded: “I’ve Only Had Reassurance From The Raptors That Pascal Is Obviously With Them To Stay.”

2 Min Read

Pascal Siakam is a former All-Star who is one of the most versatile forwards in the game. While Pascal Siakam does have issues creating his shot at times, he is still an elite defender who can guard multiple positions, and his finishing ability in the interior is very good. There’s no doubt that he’s an amazing player, and he’s shown that he can be the No. 2 scoring option on a championship-caliber team.

During the offseason, there were a fair amount of trade rumors that surrounded Pascal Siakam. Over the course of the 2020-21 season, Siakam averaged 21.4 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 4.5 APG, and there’s no doubt that he could be a great addition to any team. However, Siakam’s agent Todd Ramasar has stated that the Raptors have told him that Siakam is going to stay with the team.

I’ve only had reassurance from the Raptors that Pascal is obviously with them to stay. Obviously, From our camp we are not requesting any type of movement. In some ways the Raptors and Pascal were easy targets just based on the season that they had this past season, it wasn’t the norm… and Pascal didn’t have the best season going back to even the bubble. Some within his control and some out of his control.

I think just overall we’ve just gotten accustomed every offseason to see player movement, and not just average players, but some of your All-Star or superstar players… In this scenario, I think it was just Pascal being mentioned in some of those trade rumors.

It looks as though Pascal Siakam will remain in Toronto. Siakam didn’t have an elite season, but he could potentially bounce back when he comes back from a shoulder injury. Siakam is one of the last remaining players from the 2019 championship squad, and perhaps he can be the face of the Toronto Raptors going into the future.
