The Brooklyn Nets stunned the Golden State Warriors 128-120 in the Chase Center tonight, executing a flawless 18-point comeback in the second half by outplaying the Warriors on both ends of the court. This win was even more surprising considering the Nets lost both Cam Johnson and Cam Thomas midway through the game to injuries.

Dennis Schroder was phenomenal, ending the night with 31 points (10-18 FG), five rebounds, and seven assists. Cam Thomas had 23 points (6-11 FG) in 23 minutes before leaving the game with an injury early in the Nets third quarter comeback. Ziaire Williams stepped up with 19 points (6-11 FG) and nine rebounds while Jalen Wilson anchored the team with 18 points (5-11 FG) and six rebounds in 40 minutes.

Fans were shocked at the Warriors blowing what should’ve been an easy win to a heavily injured team that many expected to be tanking.

“Losing a home game to the Nets is disgusting, even worse when you were up 18,” said one fan.

Another fan called their current form a disgrace after blowing massive leads to the San Antonio Spurs and Nets.

“Worst loss of the season. Just completely unraveled again. Gave up 130 points to a depleted Nets squad,” said a Warriors fan about the team’s disastrous night.

“Nets hate their fans. Disappoint us every time we have expectations, play the fakest good basketball the second we can benefit off losing. Good night,” said a Nets fan upset about the team’s incredible win as it furthers the franchise from tanking for a top-five pick next year.

“Brooklyn Nets, I see you They’ve really impressed in these last 2 games. Withstanding loud runs from opponents on the road and sticking to Jordi Fernández’s process He’s pressing the right buttons with his group,” said one NBA fan giving rookie head coach Jordi Fernandez his flowers for overachieving this season.

“Jordi Fernandez has remade the Brooklyn Nets. The wins might not be in the best interest of the long-term of the franchise, but the team fights super hard, is well-connected, and is marvelously coached. Fernandez is the real deal,” said a fan who’s in love with what Fernandez is doing to the Nets on the court.

“Warriors lead the Nets by 18 points with just over 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Steve Kerr then sat Steph Curry for the next 9 minutes of game time. Threw the game away,” said a Curry fan who slammed Steve Kerr’s rotations for the result.

The Warriors were led by Stephen Curry scoring 28 points (8-17 FG) with seven assists, with Andrew Wiggins contributing 18 points (7-13 FG) and Moses Moody scoring 15 points (6-8 FG). There was balanced scoring across the roster as the Warriors fell apart defensively against the highly active Nets players, who pushed the pace for the entirety of the game.

The Warriors’ transition defense with mostly small guards and forwards anchored by Draymond Green was exposed against the young and athletic forwards on the Nets, with Schroder expertly picking his spots and setting the tone as the team’s best player. It was a remarkable win for Brooklyn, but a shocking loss for the Warriors.

Golden State falls to 12-5 on the season with this loss, ceding the No. 1 seed in the West to the OKC Thunder. They need to bounce back from their back-to-back losses in a clash to reclaim the No. 1 seed on Wednesday against the Thunder at home.

The Nets are 8-10 on the season, tied for the No. 7 seed in the East. They’ll face the Phoenix Suns next on Wednesday.
