LeBron James is no stranger to delivering praise, and after his son Bronny James’ breakout performance in the G League, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar shared heartfelt words of encouragement. Following the Lakers’ win against the Memphis Grizzlies, LeBron spoke about his son’s progress and his remarkable 30-point outing for the South Bay Lakers in their matchup against the Valley Suns.

“Yeah, I watched both of them. Just keep stacking the days, keep putting in the work. The work always prevails at the end of the day. It’s just great to see him getting back into the flow, getting back to his game, getting back to him just playing free and going out and just playing the game he loves and knows how to play.”

“So I love his aggressiveness, you know, he was aggressive from the beginning in both games all the way up until the end. And he did it in short minutes, you know, on both sides of the floor.”

When asked about Bronny’s stellar game, LeBron emphasized the importance of consistency and hard work in building a successful basketball career.

Bronny James’ performance against the Valley Suns marked a significant moment in his young professional career. He tallied 30 points on an efficient 13-of-23 shooting from the field, including 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. Bronny also contributed three rebounds, two assists, and one steal in just 25 minutes of action.

What stood out most was his ability to take over in the fourth quarter, where he scored 11 points in an attempt to carry the South Bay Lakers to victory. Although the team ultimately fell short with a 100-106 loss, Bronny’s assertiveness and poise were highlights of the game.

This game came on the heels of Bronny’s earlier return from a heel injury, during which he scored 16 points against the San Diego Clippers. In his first G League road game against the Valley Suns, he followed it up with an impressive 30-point display, showing flashes of the potential scouts have spoken about since his high school days.

Bronny’s recent performances have demonstrated his ability to contribute on both ends of the court. Known for his defensive tenacity and growing offensive skill set, Bronny is beginning to find his rhythm in the G League. His averages now stand at 14.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. The steady improvement and increased confidence in his game are clear indicators of his upward trajectory.

LeBron’s message of encouragement serves as a reminder of the lessons he has imparted to Bronny. Hard work, consistency, and a love for the game are foundational principles the James family lives by. As Bronny continues to refine his skills and make his mark, he’ll aim for even greater milestones.

While the South Bay Lakers may not have secured a victory, Bronny’s performance was a win for his development and a moment of pride for the James family. As LeBron put it, “Keep putting in the work”—a mantra that has guided one of the greatest careers in NBA history and now serves as inspiration for the next generation.
