LeBron James sparked a controversy among Lakers fans as he posted a picture on Instagram where he had the Clippers logo in the background while he was training. Many fans were concerned and shocked as to how the Lakers’ superstar was using their rival team’s facility.
However, Rich Paul’s comments on a live stream should clarify that Lakers fans have nothing to worry about.

Paul, James’ agent and close friend, appeared on a live stream with the internet personality Tylil and spoke about Klutch Sports Group using the Clippers’ training facility for their clients.
“I just hope we get to keep this facility because nobody cared about this facility until we got it, and now everyone wants this facility. That’s what happens.”
“It’s their old practice facility, yes,” said Paul as Tylil pointed out they are using the Clippers’ facility.
“They don’t need it back; they have a new place. I’m just saying this was sitting here idle… Steve Ballmer and his team were gracious enough to allow us to use this facility.”
Therefore, LeBron James, who is Klutch Sports’ oldest client, was only using the Clippers’ facility to train and nothing else. With James’ future being in question, a lot of signs indicate that the Lakers will have him at least till the end of the season. Even Luka Doncic, who is the new face of the Lakers, wants James to retire there instead of going anywhere else next season.
There is a rising concern among fans regarding James’ future. Even his recent meeting with Nikola Jokic’s agent sparked rumors about his future with the Lakers. But it was later clarified that the meeting was regarding a business opportunity and not James’ professional future.
The uncertainty over James’ future is still unsettling for his fans as the Lakers’ superstar is yet to directly address it amid rising tensions with the front office, as per reports. At least the Lakers fans now have one less thing to worry about, James is not planning a future with the Clippers.
The 40-year-old superstar is still playing like a top-10 player in the NBA right now. He was selected in the All-NBA Second Team after averaging 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds this season. Rich Paul has also indicated that LeBron James is not getting traded this season, so as far as James’ future goes, the Lakers have him until the fall of 2026 at least.
Do you think that James will retire as a Lakers player? Or will he move to another team if they do not win a championship in the coming season? Luka is certainly on the same page with LeBron about the objectives of next season, but what will happen if they don’t produce to the level that James wants?
