Patrick Beverley is the sort of player that gets a lot of hate from fans around the league but is absolutely adored by the fans of the team he’s on. His hustle, energy and never-say-die attitude make him easy to like when he plays for your team, and can make it easy to ignore some of the other parts of his game. He’s also an exemplary teammate, something he’s showing in Minnesota during the Timberwolves’ excellent run of form.
On Monday night, the Wolves blew out the Portland Trail Blazers in extremely convincing fashion, winning by a whopping 43 points. They led by 31 points at the end of the 3rd quarter, and the 4th quarter was essentially a procession as they only increased their margin of victory.
Patrick Beverley is shooting the t shirt cannon right now.
We're not even halfway through the 4th quarter.

Halfway through the 4th quarter, when the victory was confirmed, Patrick Beverley was just having fun with his teammates on the sidelines. Bev found a t-shirt gun that is used to launch t-shirts into the crowd for entertainment during timeouts and had a go at it himself, a testament to how comfortably the Wolves were winning the game.

Beverley had 6 points and a whopping 10 rebounds in just 20 minutes on the floor, and he was absolutely feeling himself as they beat the brakes off the Blazers. It’s also a microcosm of the moment the Timberwolves find themselves in, they are 8-2 in their last 10 games as they make a charge to try and secure an automatic playoff spot in the Western Conference.
It’s been difficult for the wolves over the years, they’ve managed to make the playoffs only once during the Karl-Anthony Towns era but they look set to make this season their 2nd appearance. Beverley may not be able to contribute at a starter level anymore but as a leader off the bench and a huge voice on the roster, Beverley will be a massive help to the team come playoff time.
