Even though plane technology is safe in the modern day, there are still times when accidents happen during air travel. Not even NBA players can always dodge those sorts of occurrences.

It was previously revealed that the Los Angeles Clippers’ plane was struck by lightning on their way to Denver to face the Nuggets. Some, like Bones Hyland, thought that the plane may have crashed as a result. Recently, Paul George opened up on the incident, detailing his experience.

“The pilot warned us”, said George. “Before we took off, he said there was going to be some turbulence. The plane literally just dropped. It was like a free fall… It felt like the plane shut all the way off. I was thinking “Damn, do I send the text now?”.

It is good to see that Paul George and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers roster are alright. Luckily, the plane did not end up crashing, and the Clippers got in safely to play the Nuggets.

Paul George is one of the best two-way forwards in the league, and there’s no doubt that he’s had a solid few years with the Los Angeles Clippers. As of right now, George is averaging 23.9 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 5.1 APG, and we’ll see how well he does for the rest of the season.

The Los Angeles Clippers Have A Real Chance To Win The Championship This Season

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Clippers have the talent to be a legitimate championship-level team. In fact, Paul George previously suggested that they can be “a tough team” to defeat in a seven-game series.

“You see the big picture of what we can be and what we will be,” George said. “I still believe we’re gonna be a tough team to beat in seven games. And these tough losses can be lessons learned, just how to close out, we haven’t done it yet; I’m sure we’ll get to it. And when we do, we’ll be comfortable and confident in these moments.”

The Los Angeles Clippers have won five of their last six games, and it is clear that they are peaking at the right time. Hopefully, we see them get deep in the playoffs, and it is clear that the team has a championship-or-bust approach this season. The time to win is now for the Clippers, and we’ll see if they can get their first franchise championship this year.
