  • Title window is closing for LA after years of failed postseason runs

As hype was building for the LA Clippers last summer, many experts and fans across the globe predicted a successful championship run powered by Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and head coach Tyronn Lue.

Sadly, those goals were never achieved last season, and the Clips are entering the 2023 campaign with more uncertainty than anything else. But for Clippers star Paul George he’s still confident in his team and how far they can go with everyone healthy.

“Mark my words, I’m on my bully sh*t next season,” said George on Twitch.

This sort of confidence is nothing new in Clipper Land. Over the years, they’ve had plenty of faith in their roster, but it’s the execution that’s been poor. Namely, the tradition of load management has held the team back from reaching its true potential.

Now, it’ll be up to PG and Kawhi to flip the script and change the narrative once and for all.

Will Clippers Win The 2024 Title?

On paper, there is no question that LA has a loaded roster. With a mix of veterans and players of all types, they go nine deep and can seemingly compete against any team at full strength.

Unfortunately, durability has been lacking for this team, and until they can find some consistency on that end, they will never advance to the Finals.

“You’ve missed 119 of 307 regular season games,” said Stephen A. Smith on PG. “That’s 38% due to injuries. In that time span, you’ve earned $148.2 million in your career. $57.3 million of those money’s worth the games missed. Kawhi Leonard he’s missed 147 of 308 regular season games. That’s 48% due to injuries, Kawhi’s earned $146.9 million in his career with the Clippers. About $70.8 million for games he’s missed. I don’t see the Clipper fans getting any refunds.”

As this team grows older and older in age, they are running out of time to get the job done, and their window is closing fast. This year, it will be more imperative than ever for them to be available, build that team chemistry, and play as many games as they can.
