In the aftermath of Draymond Green’s thunderous ejection against the Minnesota Timberwolves this week, NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce took a shot at the man on Twitter, where he exposed the modern NBA for letting the 4x champion run amok on the court this season.
Everybody is this ERA scared of Draymond 😳😳😳😂😂😂

Draymond is catching strays left and right for his part in a series of ejections during Golden State’s most recent game. He played less than two minutes before a violent outburst took place on the court, which ended with Green putting Rudy Gobert in a choke hold before getting thrown out of the match. According to Warriors coach Steve Kerr, his players were just responding to the actions of Gobert, who allegedly grabbed Klay Thompson’s neck during a dead ball. In the end, no matter who you believe, Draymond clearly overstepped his bounds yet again and he continues to validate the narrative of being the biggest bully in the modern NBA.
Paul Pierce Unfazed By Draymond
Paul Pierce was already at the end of his career by the time Draymond Green began his NBA journey, but he had enough experience dealing with those types of players. Back in his day, Pierce battled against “loud” competitors like Draymond almost every single game and he never let them affect his performance before. Of course, PIerce does have his own bit of history against the Warriors veteran. During the 2016-17 season, Draymond infamously exposed Paul Pierce in a widely remembered verse of trash-talk in one of their final games.
“Keep chasing that farewell tour! They don’t love you like that,” Dray said. “You thought you was Kobe?!”
Years later, when Pierce openly criticized LeBron James, Green attacked the guy again with a verbal assault that accused him of being scared of James. Fast forward to today, and it’s no wonder why Pierce is speaking up on this latest incident with Draymond. Green ha made a fool of himself again, and Paul Pierce is here to remind folks that not everyone is scared to challenge the longtime Warriors veteran.
Draymond Green Is Out Of Control
Since his career began, Draymond has always been a guy to toe the line and it’s what helped him find great success as an emotional leader and tone-setter for the Warriors. Unfortunately, it can also be a detriment at times, like we saw last season when Dray got into a fight with his own teammate during practice. This season, we saw the bad side of Green again during his viral encounter with Rudy Gobert, and it could cost him several regular-season games.
No matter where you stand on Draymond or his history of antagonistic behavior, the Warriors will need him to be more reserved if they want any chance of making a run this season. The Warriors are small enough as it is, and without Green’s defense in the frontcourt, they will struggle. to keep up with the rising competition in the West. Moving forward, Golden State has to figure out a way to control Draymond’s outbursts and prevent any further meltdowns from getting in the way of their success. For now, the Warriors are still just holding their breath as they await news on a possible suspension from the NBA office.
