Paul Pierce Says Luka Doncic “Is The Most Talented Player In The NBA.”

When talking about the NBA’s upper elite of players, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry are usually the first names to surface on the lips of most.

But for ESPN’s Paul Pierce, who is a former NBA All-Star himself, he suggested Luka Doncic as the player with the most talent in basketball right now.

“I expect special things from him. You’re talking about a kid who made one of the biggest leaps in recent memory — from rookie of the year to MVP caliber player… clearly he’s special, he’s a talent, and to me, he’s the most talented player in the NBA today. The lights are never too bright for him”

Doncic, 21, emerged as an All-Star in just his second season as a pro. Through three seasons, he has averaged 24.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 7.3 assists on 44.5% shooting.

The real test for Luka, of course, is what he is able to do in the playoffs. The Mavericks haven’t won a Championship since 2011, and fans are looking to Luka to deliver them another one this season. Behind his play, and that of his partner Kristaps Porzingis, the organization is hopeful that their dreams will become a reality.

No doubt, now is their best chance since the early 2010s to get that done. Having a player as talented as Luka has its benefits…
