Grizzlies star Ja Morant was foolish enough to get caught in another gun-flashing incident, and this time the consequences are expected to be severe. Since Morant seemingly didn’t learn the first time, we can expect a lengthy suspension for Ja that will likely severely cripple next season for the entire Grizzlies organization.

Besides a possible suspension and other official penalties, Morant is also facing ridiculous amounts of hate from fans across the NBA community. Recently, even popular US streamer Adin Ross took a turn berating the young superstar.

“Lock him up! He’s a thug! Lock him up! Put him in f**king prison! Solitary confinement! Put him in there! Put him in f**king jail!”

Ross also called out Ja’s friend for apparently trying to cover for Morant after he realized what was happening.

“Take number one. First of all, this is a good friend right here. This is a good friend! He hid the camera as soon as he popped the gun. You’re a good f**king friend. This guy is a real friend, I swear to god. He’s a real friend.”

A proper friend probably wouldn’t have had the camera rolling at that moment anyway, but this situation ultimately falls on Ja for executing poor judgment and ignoring all the calls for him to change his lifestyle.

“Y’all have accountability issues. Stop being f**king weird,” Ross told his chat. “He hid it as soon as Ja popped up the gun. Listen! It doesn’t matter! Ja should not be holding a f**king gun! He’s worth tens of millions of dollars, bro!”

How Can Morant Recover From This Latest Scandal?

It’s out of line to call Ja a thug or a criminal, but that’s clearly the impression he’s leaving some fans with his odd and unnecessary behavior. Unless he stops this now and begins the path to redemption, his reputation may never recover.

Even worse, his livelihood could also be at stake if Nike or other brands decide to re-consider their partnership with no. 12.

It’s all on the line for Ja right now, but he’s done this to himself after a series of reckless choices put the world on notice. Besides winning on the court, Ja will have to step up as a leader if he wants to put all of this drama behind him once and for all.
