Rob Perez: “If The Lakers Are About To Sweep, Anthony Davis And LeBron James Might Start Playing 1-On-1 For Finals MVP At The End Of Game 4.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are now leading the NBA Finals 2-0 over the Miami Heat. The Californians have been extremely dominant in the first two games of the series and it doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been a complete nightmare for the Heat, who don’t have a response for these two monsters.

In Game 2, they combined for 65 points, with Bron nearing the triple-double (33 PTS, 9 REB, 9 AST) and AD becoming the king of the paint with his performance (32 PTS, 14 REB). They’ve been so good that their fight for the Finals MVP award is getting more intense and interesting than the actual series. That’s why Rob Perez, AKA ‘WorldWideWob’ proposed the ultimate challenge to determine this year’s Finals MVP given how dominant the Lakers have been over the Heat.

“if the Lakers are about to sweep, Anthony Davis and LeBron James might start playing 1-on-1 for Finals MVP at the end of Game 4.”

It’s been quite a ride for them and the playoffs have only served to confirm their dominance over the rest of the league. The Lakers haven’t had any problems knocking out their opponents until before this stage and sadly for the Heat, it looks like they’re going through that same path. As crazy as it sounds, if they keep playing this good, perhaps a one-on-one game would make this decision easier for the league.

They are the two main candidates to take the award home but it’s so close that perhaps it will be more of a personal choice for the jury instead of a statistical matter.
