Shannon Sharpe Makes His Finals Prediction: “Lakers Meet The Nets In The Finals.”

2 Min Read

With the 2020-21 season officially underway, there will be no shortage of twists and turns over the next couple of months. With new faces, new teams, and brand new storylines to follow, it’s really anyone’s guess who will come out on top.

Nevertheless, on FOX Sports UNDISPUTED, Shannon Sharp did his best to project which two teams will end up in the Finals.

“I like the Eastern Conference Finals to be the Bucks and the Nets, and I’ll say Brooklyn in 6…In the West, I’ve got the Lakers & Clippers battling it out and the Lakers win in 6 to meet the Nets in the Finals.”

Obviously, the big question in the East is the health of Kevin Durant. If he ends up struggling out of the gate or just never emerges as the player he was a few years ago, it’s hard to see them sneaking past Milwaukee or even Boston.

If we assume KD comes back like his old self, though, the Nets could become the new powerhouse in the East.

While some are hesitant to call anything about this team yet, Sharpe is just one of many who is chosing to give Durant and his new squad the benefit of the doubt. We’ll see how that works out in the end…
