Shannon Sharpe Wants Kyrie Irving To Join The Los Angeles Lakers: “We Know The Chemistry LeBron And Kyrie Had. They Went To The Finals Every Year They Played Together.”

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving during their Cleveland Cavaliers days were simply unstoppable, at least in the regular season. The two were a delight to watch and would give many moments to celebrate to the fans throughout the season.

Their chemistry on the court was simply too good and ultimately it also produced good results too. The duo helped the Cleveland Cavaliers win the 2016 NBA Championship, even after trailing 3-1 after Game 4.

But the way they played together was simply too much for the Golden State Warriors. Moreover, if it weren’t for injuries, maybe LeBron and Kyrie would have won a couple of more rings.

Ultimately, the duo broke up after Kyrie wanted to lead his own team. Since that decision, to not sound too harsh, Irving has seen nothing but failure in the NBA. Sure, he is still a great player, but he hasn’t been that effective in the playoffs.

Now, it seems like LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have a chance to be reunited. How so? Well, recent reports suggest that Kai could leave the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers are among the top places that he could join.

While most will be happy to see the duo reunite, ideally alongside Anthony Davis, should the Lakers do it? NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe is definitely in favor of this hypothetical trade due to the level of chemistry that Irving and LeBron share with each other.

We know the chemistry LeBron and Kyrie had. They went to the Finals every year they played together. This might be pie in the sky, but I’m reaching for the sky. pic.twitter.com/xcrQ0BuVoH

“Yea, the Lakers should try, but with what? What assets you got other than LeBron and AD? You take Russ? You want Russ? LeBron is a therapist. Think about what he got Kyrie to do, something Kyrie hadn’t been able to do with any other star. … The chemistry that he and LeBron had. We saw what they did together. Went to three NBA Finals, won one.”

His co-host Skip Bayless mentioned that this trade seems like reaching for the sky, to which Sharpe replied he likes reaching for the sky.

If the Nets somehow accept a straight-up exchange for Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook, it will certainly make the Lakers a superteam. The only way this could happen is if the Nets are indeed tired of Kyrie’s shenanigans and want to trade Irving before he can leave the team for free.
