After another failed title run, the Miami Heat must go back to the drawing board if they want different results next season. Over the next few months, the Heat will have a variety of options at their disposal and it will be interesting to see which route they chose to take. Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler is going to do everything he can to put his team in a position to win and succeed.

The Heat obviously need Jimmy if they want any hope of capturing a title in this era, but not everyone agrees on what kind of player he is. While some consider him a tier-one superstar, others (like Skip Bayless) don’t believe he’s worthy of the Hall of Fame.

“After these past 10 games, does he even belong in the Hall of Fame? If I have to think twice about it, you don’t belong in it,” said Skip Bayless. “He’s never been in the top 10 in MVP voting. He got one top-three vote but it was a solitary, single vote.”

For all the talk about ‘playoff Jimmy’ this year, he really didn’t play too well in the FInals and even in the last few games leading up to the Finals. Against the Celtics and Nuggets,  Butler didn’t shoot well at all and finished with just 14 points during one of the team’s important close-out games.

Now, with the Heat officially bounced out, people are wondering how much more Jimmy has left in the tank.

Can Heat Win A Title With Jimmy Butler Leading The Show?

The Heat are going to be facing some tough questions this summer, and some of them will revolve around Jimmy Butler and where he can lead them going forward.

While Butler is an amazing two-way veteran, his game is somewhat limited compared to other top players. yet, Butler himself has no doubt that he can win a title before it’s all said and done.

“It’s been great,” Butler said in the postgame conference. “I’ve had some hell of a teammates come through here and compete with me and give us the opportunity to win a championship. I still believe with everything in me that we will do as a team here, as an organization, as a city in Miami.”

Pat Riley will have to be aggressive in his pursuit of talent this July, but a few roster changes might be all the Heat need to finally finish the job and bring home a championship.
