- Stephen A. Smith hit out at Lonzo Ball and internet trolls after the Bulls man disproved his report
- Stephen A. Smith says Lonzo Ball is not healthy and his sitting and getting up in a chair doesn’t prove anything
- Smith highlighted that Lonzo has missed 48% of his games and told him he isn’t healthy
Stephen A. Smith and Lonzo Ball have been caught in a bit of a back-and-forth since Smith reported that Ball’s knee injury is so bad that he can’t get out of a chair without pain.
Lonzo hit back at that sharing a video of him sitting down and getting up. And Stephen A. hasn’t taken the call-out well, slamming Ball in return on First Take.
“You really gon’ sit poolside on the bench and think because you getting up and sitting down, that makes you healthy?” Stephen A. said on ESPN. “Does that have anything to do with running up and down the court for 30-35 minutes a night?”
“Come on bro, come on now. That’s all I’m gonna say. And then you got these idiotic trolls all over social media and of course, these websites, the Bleacher Reports, and others. ‘Oh, he really tore into Stephen A.’
“Don’t you have the stats? Don’t you know how many games he has missed? Don’t let me get all up in y’all. Okay, stop the nonsense. Maybe you can get up and get down, maybe somebody exaggerated or you can stand up and sit down.
“Bro you ain’t healthy. You’ve missed 48% of your games and you’re only four years into your career. And on top of it all, since you missed all of last season and 47 games the season before that… You wouldn’t make a video proclaiming you’re healthy.”

This is not the first time Stephen A. Smith must have gotten a report that isn’t entirely accurate, but it seems to have made him quite frustrated, to say the least. It’s interesting to see if Lonzo Ball will say anything again in response to this tirade from Smith.
Stephen A. Smith Is Wrong In This Scenario
Stephen A. Smith is an excellent journalist and the face of ESPN, but he has gotten this one wrong. He is suggesting Lonzo Ball made that video to say that he’s healthy when all the Bulls man was doing was proving his specific report wrong.
If fans or even teams around the league think Lonzo Ball can’t sit and get up without pain, it can hurt his future, so he is within his rights to clap back.
Stephen A. Smith had the opportunity to say he got it wrong, but instead, he has doubled down. If Lonzo Ball hits back and makes some good points, this could become a pretty bad look for Smith.
