At 34 years old, the baby-faced assassin is already one of the more experienced veterans in the league, and he’s been around for what feels like ages.
Somehow, though, he hasn’t yet lost a step. This season, Curry’s 14th in the league, he’s putting up amazing numbers with 30 points, 7 assists, and 6.6 rebounds per game on 43% shooting from downtown.
But how much longer can Steph keep it going? While some might say a few more years, Curry himself did not place such limitations on his game.
“I talked to Tom Brady about how he’s at the point in his career where he’s still playing at a high level at 44 or whatever it is. And his advice was just to take it a year at a time. There’s no way to fast forward, that’s not how you got to this point, so don’t rush yourself to think about how you could do it. Your body will tell you and I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon.”
Steph Curry was asked at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards how long he thinks he can play, his response: “I don’t see myself slowing down any time soon.” At 34-years-old, Curry is averaging 30ppg while shooting 50/43/91 #dubnation pic.twitter.com/TjclHXNNzR

Curry Is Currently Playing The Best Basketball Of His Career
Despite Golden State’s shortcomings as a team, Curry himself has been absolutely magnificent this season. With numbers that surpass even his unanimous MVP campaign, he’s clearly still one of the top players in basketball.
He averaged 30.1 points per game on 50-40-90 shooting splits and led the Warriors to a record 73 wins in the regular season which led to him becoming the first and only unanimous MVP in league history. Curry remained great in the years that followed but he never managed to hit those ridiculous heights until this season. He has probably been even better this time around which is a crazy thing to say and head coach Steve Kerr was asked about the difference in Curry from 2016 to now.
Steve Kerr asked the difference between Steph Curry’s unanimous MVP season in 2016 and now: “He’s 15 pounds heavier…He’s ripped. He’s physically very different now from then.”
The good thing about Steph is that he has never needed to be super athletic to play his best and it should mean that his game ages well. For the Warriors, it means their title window stays open for a while longer.
Still, it doesn’t mean the Warriors should get complacent. As long as Steph is Steph, the Dubs have to do whatever they can to assemble the best team possible.
