Honorable Mentions: Marcus Smart, Lindy Waters III

After being selected as the 1st overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, Cade Cunningham is showing flashes of being an All-Star player by averaging 22.1 points and 7.6 assists per game on 44.7% from the field and 34.9% from three. Hopefully, Cade can start leading the lowly Pistons to more wins.

Marcus Smart is another prominent NBA talent who played for Oklahoma State from 2012 to 2014. He earned numerous accolades, including Big 12 Player of the Year and consensus First-Team All-American honors, and now plays a role for the Memphis Grizzlies after a successful stint with the Boston Celtics.

Lindy Waters III played for Oklahoma State from 2016 to 2020 and displayed his shooting ability, basketball IQ, and versatility on the court. Since then, James has won four NBA titles to go along with four Finals MVPs and four MVP awards. One of the greatest players ever, The King deserves a mention on this list because he essentially placed St. Vincent-St. Mary High School on the map as a basketball institution.

Southern California – DeMar DeRozan

Honorable Mentions: Nikola Vucevic, Evan Mobley, De’Anthony Melton

DeMar DeRozan played for the University of Southern California (USC) during the 2008-2009 season, making an immediate impact with his scoring ability and athleticism. In his lone season with the Trojans, DeRozan averaged 13.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He was selected with the 9th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors and is currently a member of the Bulls as he averages 23.3 points per game this season.

Nikola Vucevic played for USC from 2008 to 2011, where he showcased his skills as a skilled big man with a shooting touch and rebounding ability. During his junior season, Vucevic averaged 17.1 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, earning All-Pac-10 First-Team honors. Vucevic is also a member of the Bulls, posting 18.0 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Jerami Grant played for Syracuse University during the 2012-2014 seasons, helping Syracuse make deep runs in the NCAA Tournament. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2014 NBA Draft with the 39th overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers. Grant has since evolved into a key player in the NBA, and has successful stints with the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and Portland Trail Blazers.

Oshae Brissett played for Syracuse from 2017 to 2019, where he displayed his energy, rebounding, and defensive intensity as a forward. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft but signed with the Toronto Raptors and has since shown promise as a young forward in the NBA, currently playing for the Celtics.

Cole Swider transferred to Syracuse from Villanova for the 2021-2022 season, where he showcased his three-point shooting, scoring ability, and floor spacing as a forward. Swider is currently a player for the Miami Heat. Buddy Boeheim, the son of Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim, has played for Syracuse from 2018 to 2022, where he has established himself as a sharpshooter and scoring guard. Tennessee – Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris played for the University of Tennessee during the 2010-2011 season, making an immediate impact with his scoring ability and versatility.
