There is often talk about how some superstars in the NBA just don’t have enough help. It has been said about LeBron James at various points in his career and is being said right now about someone like Luka Doncic.

There is one superstar, though, who has had a fair bit of help for almost the entirety of his career, and that’s Kevin Durant. With the Phoenix Suns now having traded for Bradley Beal, he is set to join quite an impressive list of elite guards that Durant has played with in his career.

1. Russell Westbrook

2. James Harden

3. Stephen Curry

4. Kyrie Irving

5. Devin Booker

6. Chris Paul

Paul is really the only one who was past his prime when playing with Durant. The rest of them were pretty much playing at an extremely high level and it is a disappointment that he only managed to win titles with one of them, Curry.

The list of accomplishments of these guards is quite impressive—Curry, Westbrook, and Harden combined for four MVPs and seven scoring titles. Westbrook, Harden, and Paul, meanwhile, combined for 10 assist titles between them and we can just go on and on. There are a few things that Durant can probably complain about once he’s finished playing, but not having help certainly can’t be one of them.

Will Kevin Durant Finally Win A Title Without Stephen Curry In 2023-24?

Durant is unquestionably one of the greatest players in NBA history, with career averages of 27.3 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 4.3 APG, 1.1 SPG, and 1.1 BPG. If he does end his career with no more championships, though, the narrative will be that he can’t win without Curry.

There was the notion that Curry couldn’t win without Durant, but that was dispelled once and for all when he won the championship last year. KD now has to prove that he can get it done as well, but time is starting to run out.

You’d think that this upcoming season might be his best shot, as the injuries are starting to come with greater regularity. He’ll turn 35 later this year, too, and he only has so many elite seasons left in him.

With him, Booker, and Beal, scoring shouldn’t be a problem for the Suns next season, but they need more depth and defense. Trading away Deandre Ayton might help with that and depending on what they get for him, the Suns could be serious contenders next season.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
