The Two Faces Of LeBron James When He Makes The NBA Finals with The Cavs And With The Lakers

2 Min Read

Nobody in the NBA has a track record greater than that of LeBron James. As a 16x All-Star, 4x MVP, and 3x NBA Champion who is set to make his 10th Finals appearance, he has accomplished more by himself than entire professional franchises.

So when he took a seat on the court following L.A.’s series win over Denver, nobody was all that surprised. At this point, winning the Conference means very little to James, who is trying to build a bid to become the greatest of All-Time.

In fact, Bron’s reaction this year was similar to his reaction during Cleveland’s Conference Finals victory in 2018.

Making the Finals isn’t an easy feat and it’s usually a very emotional moment. But, as James explained after the game, he was just trying to take it easy and think.

“Yea, I was just getting my breath back underneath me after a hard-fought series against one of the most well-coached teams I’ve played against in the postseason, one of the most respected teams I’ve played against in a while.

I was thinking about that. I was also thinking about my teammates, who this is their first appearance in the Finals…”

No doubt, LeBron appreciates the moment. But he’s got his eyes set on the bigger picture. By the time he won his third Championship, it’s all that is really expected from him anymore.

So, as he prepares to do battle for the crown against his former team, James has certainly given himself a lot to think about — and he’s definitely got a lot to fight for. We can expect to see his best in this series to come.
