The Utah Jazz lived a very scary moment on Tuesday afternoon when they intended to fly to Memphis to play the Grizzlies. Things were a little out of control for the airplane where they were flying and it was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after they took off.

Fortunately, nothing happened and everybody was fine after this incident. The Western Conference leaders hit a flock of birds, which caused an engine problem. They had to re-route and made the emergency landing, returning to Salt Lake City a couple of moments after they left the airport.

Via CBS Sports:

On Tuesday, a plane bringing the Utah Jazz to an away game was forced to make an emergency landing due to a bird strike. As the Delta Boeing 757 was taking off from Salt Lake City International Airport it hit a bird and the left engine was shut down, grounding the plane and the passengers on the flight, who happened to be an NBA team.

There have not been any injuries reported and the emergency landing was done so safely, according to reports. A Delta spokesperson told FOX 13 it was flight 8944 involved in the bird strike and the team confirmed it was their players aboard.

The pictures of the plane look very serious, although the situation didn’t escalate. Players were thankful that nothing else happened and took to social media to show they were ok and grateful that nothing happened.
