Victor Oladipo Made A Hilarious Joke While Eating Ruffles Chips With Jayson Tatum’s Face On The Packet: “Maybe If I Eat These I’ll Get To The Finals Too.”

3 Min Read

Jayson Tatum is one of the best young superstars in the game, and he knows it. It’s hard to deny him, too, not many players can say they were 2 games away from winning a championship as the main star at 24. His performances in the Finals may have left something to be desired, but his overall contribution to getting the Celtics there is something that cannot be denied by anyone.

Some perks come with performing at an elite level. Tatum has now become a household name across the country. This means endorsement deals and other similar moments in the spotlight. And one of those seems to be sponsorship from Ruffles chips, who have put Tatum’s face on their packets.

And this had led to an inadvertently funny moment, with Miami Heat player Victor Oladipo making a TikTok of himself eating the chips. While enjoying the Ruffles, Oladipo made a joke about how this must mean that he might now be able to go to the Finals himself.

“Maybe if I eat these I’ll go to the Finals, too”.

Oladipo was close to getting to the Finals last season, but his Heat lost very narrowly in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Jayson Tatum had some huge performances in that series which allowed the Celtics to move past them, although eventually, a Jimmy Butler three-pointer being missed was necessary to ensure it.

Oladipo has signed a two-year extension to stay with the team, and Miami has been on the hunt to also add another superstar to help them get over the hump. The team has been very close to an NBA championship in recent seasons, and it feels like they just need a little extra to get there. Maybe if Oladipo can enjoy a career resurgence of his own, he can also be on a Ruffles chips packet at some point.
