There is no doubt that Draymond Green is a key member of the Golden State Warriors, and he is clearly a player that is a key emotional leader for the team. His aggressiveness on defense and leadership are clearly valuable for the other players on the roster, but sometimes, Green definitely goes too far.
Recently, we saw Draymond Green stomp on Domantas Sabonis in Game 2 of the Warriors-Kings series and subsequently get suspended for his actions. There’s no doubt that this was unacceptable. Recently Bob Myers offered his take on the situation, claiming that he hopes Draymond Green learns from his mistakes.
“Each time he’s messed up, my hope is he learns from it and becomes better.”

At this point, the goal for the Golden State Warriors is to survive Game 3 in Chase Center and give themselves the opportunity to even up the series in Game 4. Not having Draymond Green there is tough, but the forward is paying the price for his actions, and they’ll have to figure out a way to win without him.
Thus far in the playoffs, Draymond Green has put up 6.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 8.0 APG for the Golden State Warriors. Hopefully, we see the Warriors don’t miss his absence too much, but they’ll really need to lock in on the defensive end without his presence.
Draymond Green Isn’t Worried About The Warriors Being 2-0 Down
A lot of less experienced teams and players would likely panic after going 2-0 down in a playoff series. However, Draymond Green clearly isn’t worried about that and is treating it like another challenge.
“A new challenge. After the game, I was thinking about that. This is one we haven’t seen yet. And we’ve conquered all the rest of them, so why not go conquer this one? It’ll be a lot of fun.”
We have often seen teams lose the first two games of a series on the road, then bounce back with two home-court wins in a row. The Golden State Warriors are clearly a talented team, and they have the ability to bounce back and even win the series. However, they will need to play their best basketball to do that, as the Sacramento Kings are clearly not a team that will roll over due to a bit of pressure and let the Warriors win the series.
