Stephen A. Smith has a powerful platform to talk about sports and his appeal is spilling out beyond the world of basketball.

SAS is on good terms with many noted celebrities, but there was one time he tried getting on good terms with Iggy Azalea after spotting her at MSG during a New York Knicks game.

“Let me be very clear, at the Garden last night, let’s not forget that Iggy Azalea was there and we liked seeing her. Let’s just throw that out there. That includes anybody, I would include Dustin Hoffman, and Michael J. Fox, I’m just saying. It was good seeing her.”

We don’t know if SAS ever got to hit Iggy Azalea up after this moment. Jay Williams and Molly Querin were in splits for what was a really funny moment on First Take.

Stephen A. Smith Always Remains Outspoken

Stephen A. Smith will always say what’s on his mind. It’s the reason some hate him and some love him, but it is indisputably what makes him alluring and interesting to everyone. Even if people don’t like the takes SAS has, they tune in for every single one of them because of his gravitas.

Smith is often advocating for Michael Jordan’s case as the GOAT but openly criticized his ownership of the Charlotte Hornets, saying he’s ruined careers in Charlotte. He attacked LeBron James recently for lying in a tweet where he claimed he never has other people speak for him. Smith will call out whatever he feels like and that makes people keep tuning in.

He had a lot of extensive comments recently on the Ja Morant situation, which created a lot of debate. Either way, every time he has something to say, people are ready to record and break it down. That sort of influence on sports media cannot be understated and has to be appreciated.
