Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler may not get as much attention as LeBron James or Stephen Curry, but the guy is like royalty in China. Currently, Butler is visiting Hong Kong to conclude his tour around China, and the crowds there have showered him with a ridiculous outpouring of love and attention.

In one particular moment, captured by a camera, Butler is seen having an exchange with one young fan who explained how Butler was an inspiration for him.

“When I tried to give up, I reminded myself how you performed in the playoffs this season. Your strength taught me how to face challenges. Even our team lost in the school tournament, I think we will be much better just as you did.”

Butler isn’t coming off a normal season in Miami. He and his team struggled for months to find consistency and came into the playoffs as a hobbled 8-seed with no expectations.

Yet, somehow, Butler led Miami to success when it counted the most. Despite overwhelming odds and steep competition, he managed to pull the Heat within a few wins of the title.

What’s Next For The Heat?

As long as Miami still has Butler, they will always be at least somewhat relevant in the East. Right now, however, things aren’t looking too good after losing several key roleplayers in the offseason.

The only way for the Heat to salvage this, and ensure they are contenders next year, is to snag Damian Lillard before another team decides to take the risk and make an offer.

“He’s made up his mind, this is what he wants,” league insider Tim Reynolds said on Saturday Sports World with Marc Stein. “There’s a billion reasons why. The connection he had with Bam Adebayo, I think, is a really understated story right now in this whole deal. They connected incredibly at the Tokyo Olympics. You could see bonds being formed. They’ve stayed close.”

For now, Jimmy Butler is only focused on enjoying the summer and preparing for next season. Whether it’s with Lillard or without him, you can bet that he’ll be giving 100% every time he steps on the floor.
